broken bells - october

my shoes are going back to france/london/iceland for christmas/nye. for this last post of the year, they would like you to participate. please comment and give us the answer to this question: which was your favourite album in this year 2010?
my shoes and i are very happy about these past 12 months, as we discovered a lot of good new bands, and some artists we like released great new materials.
for the new incoming bands with their eps, we enjoyed is tropical, kowalski, trophy wife, young empires and many more we can't even remember. few bands released some very interesting debut albums, like gayngs, north atlantic oscillation, solar bears, the drums, avi buffalo, cloud control, everything everything, yeasayer, tame impala, jonsi...
finally, good famous bands did their homework with good new albums such as the chemical bros, the klaxons, foals, röyksopp, gorillaz, mgmt, beach house, vampire weekend etc.

however, if my shoes and myself have to keep one and only one, that would be the debut album of broken bells. song writer from the shins james mercer and producer danger mouse together for the best.

my shoes decided to move from music to movie today. last weekend, they watched a greek movie called "Κυνόδοντας" directed by yorgos lanthimos. this is about a couple of parents who decided to raise 3 children without any contact with the outside. only the dad has the right to leave the house (and only by car). this "arty movie" was strange, with great ideas with the filming, good actors, often shocking. take it as an new experience, as the movie is experimental itself.
